As the ‘launching customer’, European Loc Pool ordered the first ten Euro9000 locomotives from Stadler already in May 2019, and since mid-2023, the ‘next generation’ locomotive has been operating in Europe. DPB Rail Infra Service GmbH and European Loc Pool AG have entered into a new partnership.

November 2025 With the signing of a Full-Service Leasing agreement for two EuroDual locomotives, DPB is expanding its fleet with powerful hybrid locomotives and strengthening its position in rail freight transport.For DPB, the versatility of the EuroDual played a decisive role in their decision. “The flexibility of the EuroDual was a key factor in our decision. The ability to operate both in diesel and electric mode with a locomotive that delivers high tractive power was particularly important to us. This allows us to react flexibly to different operating conditions and to cover new business areas that were previously not economically viable,” explains Niklas Bisenberger, Head of Rail at DPB. The locomotive’s performance was also a crucial factor: “A clear advantage lies in its high performance. It is approximately 1.5 times more powerful than a Vectron, which enables its use on demanding routes.
