About ELP

European Loc Pool was established in 2018 by Peter Spuhler and Willem Goosen, who wanted to positively disrupt the European Rail freight market. With its head office located in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, ELP commenced its operating activities in 2019, and currently owns fleet of 124 innovative six-axle Hybrid locomotives, which are offered under long-term full- service contracts. The fleet consists of 84 EuroDual locomotives and 40 Euro9000 locomotives, operating in 6 countries and in use with over 30 different operators across Europe.

European Loc Pool aims to serve rail operators, logistics companies and industrial enterprises across Europe with focus on new innovative six-axle hybrid locomotives. ELP is committed to sustainability and utilise advanced technology to reduce their environmental impact while improving operational performance.

European Loc Pool’s comprehensive and care-free leasing package not only includes full-service maintenance, but also locomotive insurance, driver training, and the unique option to customize the locomotive exterior. Additionally, clients have access to the MyELP digital customer platform to enhance their fleet management.

With Dutch CEO Willem Goosen at the helm, ELP has decades of experience and broad expertise in the European rolling stock leasing segment. With a small and dedicated team we tender to the needs of our clients and guarantee maximum availability and reliability of our locomotives. We are ECM certified for our fleet and with our team of professionals we ensure safe and carefree operations of our locomotives at all times.
