Making Dreams Come True: Our Partnership with Sternschnuppe

At European Loc Pool, we’re proud to support the Kinderhilfe Sternschnuppe Foundation, a Swiss charity bringing joy to children with illnesses or disabilities. 🌟

Our partnership reflects our commitment to investing in the next generation – not just through innovative locomotives, but by giving back to our communities. Together with Sternschnuppe, we help create magical moments for children who need them most. 

Every child deserves joy and dreams that come true.  

To share more about Sternschnuppe’s inspiring mission, we spoke with Nicole Sami, their Executive Director. Hear her insights on how partnerships like ours make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children. 

1. What is the core mission of Sternschnuppe? 

“For over 30 years, Stiftung Kinderhilfe Sternschnuppe brings joy and variety into the lives of children and young people living with an illness or disability. We fulfil children’s most heartfelt wish and offer the whole family excursions and carefree leisure activities. 

The child is always at the centre of every wish fulfilment. Our team does everything possible to create unforgettable experiences. At the same time, it is very important to us to involve the whole family in fulfilling the wish. These unique moments stay with the children and their families for years and provide strength during difficult times.” 

2. What are some of Sternschnuppe’s most impactful initiatives? 

“We are currently working on organising 402 wishes. Making these dreams come true is our top priority, and we look forward to turning each one into a unique and unforgettable event. 

Additionally, the Sternschnuppe app was launched this year. This marks a significant milestone for our Freizeitsterne program, which has been a success since its introduction in 2011. Thanks to the app, families can now access a wide range of offers much more easily and book admission tickets for our Freizeitsterne partners quickly and spontaneously.” 

3. How do partnerships like European Loc Pool’s contribute to Sternschnuppe’s mission? 

“Alongside the dedication of our employees, it is our donors who make it possible for us to fulfil wishes. Our programmes are financed exclusively through donations. Their generosity and trust enable us to carry out this important work. 

We are also incredibly grateful for the many volunteers who contribute their time and energy to our foundation. Their commitment is indispensable and plays a key role in turning wishes into reality.”
