European Loc Pool AG has recorded continuous growth since its foundation. From 0 to € 500 million investment volume within 1,300 days
In 2021, European Loc Pool (ELP) ordered a further 34 locomotives from Stadler Rail Valencia. 20 EuroDual locomotives of the configuration Germany and Austria, 4 EuroDual locomotives for Norway and Sweden and 10 Euro9000 locomotives of the configuration Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, and Belgium. ELP is thus further expanding its fleet of state-of-the-art 6-axle dual locomotives. Since the leasing company was founded in May 2018, 84 locomotives of the latest generation have been ordered. Of these, 66 locomotives are already on long-term full-service leases with over 25 customers in 5 different countries.
ELP is particularly proud that several existing customers have decided to further expand their fleet of ELP locomotives in 2021. Both the performance and flexibility of the locomotive as well as the ELP full-service package have convinced the customers.
With the success, the ELP team is also growing. It is expected to grow by a further 50% from seven employees today to eleven by the end of 2022. The focus of the expansion is to be in technical support and digitalisation.
In 2022, ELP will apply for homologation for the EuroDual locomotives in additional countries in Europe and further develop the Euro9000 locomotive for use on additional corridors in Europe. The Euro9000 will be officially presented at InnoTrans Berlin in September 2022. In parallel, ELP is developing a block train concept, with innovative freight wagons, which will complement ELP’s portfolio in the future.
