European Loc Pool AG (“ELP”) This data protection declaration outlines how ELP collects, uses, transfers and discloses (hereinafter together referred to as “processing”) personal data of the visitors to this website (hereinafter referred to as “users”) and the manner in which this is done. The user gives authorizes ELP to processes personal data when he/she visits this website in accordance with the declaration. ELP may unilaterally amend the declaration at any time. The current version is published by ELP online. Data collection ELP may process personal data about the user, if the latter visits websites of ELP; requests or uses products or services offered by ELP online; this includes in particular the registration for specific services or web content accessible only with personal login details, as well as subscriptions of print media or online newsletters; on the one hand, ELP processes personal data (such as name, gender, address, e-mail address, phone or fax numbers) explicitly and actively made available to ELP by the user. This shall also apply if the user attends events of ELP (either online or in person). On the other hand, the webserver of ELP automatically records details of the user’s visit (such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system used, original website, pages viewed, date, duration of view). Use and protection of personal data 
ELP improves product and service quality on the basis of processing personal data in accordance with this declaration. 
The processing of personal data in particular serves the following purposes: Technical management and research and further development of the websites; User administration and marketing; Informing users about services and products of ELP, if the user has given his/her consent accordingly; The user authorizes ELP to transfer personal data to employees, agents or other third parties, either inside or outside of the user’s country of residence, for the provision of services and for the purposes outlined above. The employees, agents and other third parties who have access to personal data are obliged by ELP to ensure compliance with any applicable data protection rules. Persons to whom ELP grants access to personal data within the meaning of this declaration will be trained accordingly in relation to data security and data protection. 
ELP protects personal data with appropriate physical, electronic and procedural security measures, including firewalls, personal passwords, encryption and authentication technologies. 
ELP reserves the right to transmit personal data to governmental and supervisory authorities, and, in context of this declaration, also to analytical service providers. ELP thereby fully complies with the applicable regulation, legislation and any court or regulatory requirements. 
 Access to personal data processed 
Data subjects or users whose personal data are processed in the context of this declaration shall have the right: To obtain information about whether and what personal data is stored by ELP (categories of data, recipients or categories of recipients, retention period of personal data or criteria for determining the retention period); To obtain a copy of the personal data; To request rectification of the personal data in the event of inaccuracies; To request erasure of the personal data in certain cases; To request restriction of processing of the personal data; To obtain personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format; To object to processing, in particular for the purpose of direct marketing. 
The above rights may be restricted or denied, if the interests, rights and freedoms of third parties outweigh or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims or legally permissible claims of ELP.

Right to withdraw a consent under data protection law 
Each data subject concerned may at any time withdraw its consent to processing of its personal data. In this case, the withdrawal shall be addressed either by letter or e-mail to the person responsible for data protection (Data Protection Officer) at ELP.
